EDINA is "a world-class centre for digital expertise, based at the University of Edinburgh. We develop, host and deliver trusted digital services developed for UK education and research, for government and public bodies, for communities locally and globally. Our work spans subject areas with high profile examples including geospatial, cultural, historical, and research data services."

In the area of mapping they offer:
  • Digimap - maps & geospatial data for UK academia
  • Digimap for Colleges
  • Digimap for Schools
  • MapStream for Schools - streaming OS digital mapping for UK schools
  • Digimap OpenStream - providing access to a Web Map Service (WMS) offering Ordnance Survey OpenData products
However these services are all for UK education institutions only. Staff and students have free at the point of use access to all the maps and data for each collection that their institution subscribes to.
