Building maps on top of OSM

uMap lets you "create maps with OpenStreetMap layers in a minute and embed them in your site".  There is a wiki article about it, with examples.

MapContrib (Thematic OpenStreetMap contribution) is a site similar to uMap that allows a simple generating of your own map. Example maps include fire hydrants, mail boxes and bicycle parking.
