Sources of Maps and Geographic Datasets - page 1 - Mapping for One-Place Studies

There are many maps available, and in many formats. Data for Geographic information systems (GIS) are called geographic datasets. They are the digital equivalents of paper maps. If you have a favourite source, why not suggest it here, in particular if it is free and has no copyright restruictions.
