CDRC Maps is a system for mapping selected datasets from the
Consumer Data Research Centre (CDRC) - who are "bringing together world-class researchers from the University of Leeds, University College London, University of Liverpool and the University of Oxford to offer a range of expert services to a wide range of users."
It shows demographics, retail data and other metrics like methods of travel to work, central heating type, house prices etc. Technically it uses OpenLayers.
The creator of CDRC Maps is
Oliver O'Brien, who has also created bicycle sharing mapping systems and CityDashboard, a pioneering rapidly updating view of London and other cities.
