« on: 28 December 2016, 07:08:04 »
The British Library has one of the largest collections of maps, plans and topographical views in the world, numbering some 4.5 million, with a chronological spread of over 2,000 years.

The collections include:
  • King George III Topographical and Maritime collections
  • Globes
  • Digital mapping
  • Manuscript maps
  • Ordnance survey mapping
  • War Office Archive maps
Some of these are available on-line.  The BL also has an on-going crowd-sourced project to georeference many of their maps.
