UK Land Registry 'cadastral' data
« on: 31 December 2016, 06:28:27 »
(A cadastral plan is produced by a surveyor who accurately measures and records the boundaries of each property. The cadastre of a country is its register of property titles, and in its strict sense a cadastral plan shows legal rights. The UK is one of the countries where the plans are only indicative.)

The UK's Land Registry register the ownership of land and property in England and Wales.  The data they supply includes:

What follows are notes that need sorting out

Download Land Registry's INSPIRE Index Polygons to help you locate registered freehold land and property in England and Wales.
https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/download-inspire-index-polygons

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/inspire-index-polygons-spatial-data#conditions-of-use
Under the OGL, when reusing the data you must acknowledge the source of the data and include an attribution statement. You must:
display the following statement: ‘This information is subject to Crown copyright and is reproduced with the permission of Land Registry’
in addition when reusing the polygons (including the associated geometry, namely x,y co-ordinates), display the following Ordnance Survey copyright/database right notice: ‘© Crown copyright and database rights [year of supply or date of publication] Ordnance Survey 100026316’
where possible you must provide a link to these conditions.
There is also Find out about Land Registry’s other geographical information services: Illustrative Plans and Electronic Extent Data (polygons).

Exit most other programs
Cadastral, 27700
Load Land_Registry_Cadastral_Parcels.gml into QGIS as GML  (actually Huntingdonshire geojson 3857 as converted see below)
Load HcN parish boundary.geojson
Vector geoprocessing  Clip
INput Land Registry ...
Clip parish boundary
Output...HcN cadastral shapefile - takes a long while (>30 mins)
Aborted part done; tried GML later and OK

Tried using https://mygeodata.cloud/drive/my,  it is big! (112MB of 200MB limit)
Convert 27700 gml to  GeoJSON 3857
Huntingdonshire_Cadastral.geojson  BIG

QGIS translates GML to anything else.
